The Collection
Three journals, one ritual. Each is wrapped in velvet, finished with lace by hand and marked with a violet silk ribbon.
Midnight velvet, black lace
Our signature. Deep black velvet beneath a veil of black lace that only reveals itself when the light finds it.
Smoke velvet, silver lace
Soft as a winter evening. Graphite velvet laced in pale silver, for the quieter hours and slower thoughts.
Moonlit velvet, white lace
Luminous and still. Pearl-white velvet with bridal lace, made for vows, letters and new beginnings.
The Details
Nothing about a Velvet & Lace journal is rushed. Every one is finished by hand, one at a time, so it feels like it was always meant to be yours.
Wrapped over rigid board, so the cover feels as good under your hand on the last page as it did on the first.
Every cover is finished with lace applied by hand. The pattern falls a little differently each time, so no two are quite alike.
Smooth 120gsm ivory paper that takes fountain pen, gel ink and pencil without ghosting through to the next page.
A sewn spine that opens flat from the very first spread, so you can write all the way to the edge.
One long violet ribbon to keep your place, and, if you like, your secrets.
The most important things are rarely said out loud. They are written late at night, in ink, in a book that feels like it was made just for you. Velvet & Lace exists for those pages.

Every journal is A5 (roughly 5.8 × 8.3 in), with 192 pages of 120gsm ivory paper. Choose lined, dot grid or blank.
No. The lace is laid by hand, so the pattern sits a little differently on every cover. That small variation is part of the charm.
The paper is made for fountain pens and gel inks, and is just as happy with pencil and fine-liners. Very wet markers may still show through.
Keep it dry and brush gently with a soft cloth in the direction of the pile. A little steam from a distance revives crushed velvet beautifully.
